Inhalt

“I am doing my own research!” Saying these words will inevitably earn you some side-eye. Not in this meetup. We aim to bring together the dabblers and tinkerers to talk about pursuing ideas and questions that career researchers never could. If you are working on a thesis about your pet peeve, run polls on social media, give talks at conferences, administer a mailing list, program free software, write blog posts, facilitate a discussion group, short, if you create or share knowledge about technical communication outside established academic channels, you are invited to join this meetup. (And if you always wanted to do one of these things but never dared—come on by, we need you.)

Das lernen Sie

This meetup brings together people who research, learn, and teach about technical communication outside academia to share their experiences, connect with each other, and inspire new projects and collaboration.

Biografie

Maximilian had his first contact with technical communication while he was studying mechanical engineering, when he worked on the designation and marking of electrical appliances. After finishing his master's degree, he started working as a technical writer for electronics and automation products. He also spent some time working for a service provider, learning a lot about DITA, Docs-as-Code and Intelligent Information. Since 2021, Maximilian works as a freelance technical writer and engineer, focussing on mechanical engineering, automation and computer-aided engineering. He takes an interest in open knowledge, free software and low-tech solutions.
