Inhalt

Many different glossaries across many different departments. Too many people without a background in languages involved in the translation process. The seemingly unachievable dream of creating one terminology database translated into all languages so materials become consistent. Does this sound familiar?
At MED-EL, a highly regulated medical device company, we were facing these exact issues.

In our presentation, we will talk about how we implemented terminology management, from building a terminology team to all the challenges we uncovered, and how we creatively overcame those difficulties. We hope to provide insight into how terminology management can be done in a real-life setting using a CAT tool and a Terminology Management tool and highlight the benefits of collaboration among companies, language service providers, terminologists, and translators.
