The GALA Automation and Process Design academy ran in February 2024, with approximately 70 automators both from the enterprise and the LSP side. We have reviewed API types and usage, API capabilities, several low-code and no-code solutions, robotic process automation, and the return on investment of automation, and we also discussed the tools that enable automation capabilities at an organization, process design, and the shift-left approach. This presentation, held by the moderator and a participant/contributor, will recap the main findings with a special emphasis on the “a-ha moments”.

With the abundance of technologies around, the choice for the automation tool often depends on what people are familiar with rather than what the best solution would be.
