This workshop offers participants an immersive introduction to Simplified Technical English (STE) as defined by the ASD-STE100 standard. The session will commence with an overview of the structure of STE as a controlled natural language, including its writing rules and dictionary. Participants will receive an official copy of the current issue, which will serve as a foundation for practical exercises. These exercises will involve creating new procedures from the information provided and rewriting existing examples to comply with STE rules. Additionally, the workshop will briefly address the importance of project terminology validation to ensure consistency and clarity in compliance with STE. By the end of the session, attendees will have hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of how to apply STE principles to technical writing.
