In this workshop, we will be building iiRDS packages from DITA files. To participate, please bring:
- A laptop
- DITA files (sample files are provided if you don’t have your own)
- The DITA Open Toolkit with the iiRDS plugin

- The DITA Open Toolkit with integrated iiRDS plugins
- DITA sample files
- Java Runtime Environment (for Windows)

Bring your DITA files and we'll build an iiRDS package. We will use the new iiRDS plugin for the DITA Open Toolkit and learn how it processes your DITA content to generate an iiRDS package. Then we’ll dive right into your iiRDS package and see how iiRDS metadata annotates your content. We will show you how the plugin extracts metadata from your DITA files and discuss potential use cases for content delivery. And for added fun, there’s going to be a raffle! You might be lucky and see your DITA files in a content delivery portal today.
Bring your laptop! You can bring your DITA files or use our sample files.
