Biografie
Lara Steinmetz studiert im binationalen Master Fach- und Medienübersetzung. Im Zuge ihres Studiums führt sie Barrierefreiheitsaudits durch und übersetzt Technische Dokumentationen. In ihrer Masterarbeit beschäftigt sie sich mit aktuellen Herausforderungen der Barrierefreiheit in Softwaredokumentation. Ihr Ziel ist es, Technische Kommunikation barrierefrei zu gestalten durch die Verbindung von akademischer Forschung und praktischer Anwendung.
Lara Steinmetz is completing a binational EMT-accredited master’s degree in Translation with a focus on specialised translation, AI, language management, and audiovisual translation. During their studies they have conducted several accessibility audits and translated technical and software documentation. Their master’s thesis examines current challenges for accessibility in software documentation. Their goal is to help improve accessibility in technical communication by linking academic research and practical application.
