Christoph Attila Kun joined BASF in 2011 as a maintenance engineer. After various optimization projects in maintenance, he took over the development and management of the SAP Plant Maintenance Services unit from 2013. In 2018, he moved to the area of digitalization and took over the management of the Digital Asset Master Data Management unit as product manager. In 2022, he took over the management of the Digital Data Chain unit as global product manager.
In addition to this role, he is involved in standardization for and digitization of the process industry as chairman of the VDI Technical Committee 2770 Digital Manufacturer Information, as manager of the DIN SPEC Consortium 91406 Automatic Identification of Physical Objects and as head of the working group Digital Platforms for Asset Management and Maintenance in the Process Industry.
2022, these three initiatives have been merged in the Digital Data Chain Consortium. BASF SE is the consortium leader. Christoph Attila Kun has been managing the Digital Data Chain Consortium on behalf of BASF since 2022.
